The Sun And Fun Scooter Club was officially founded in 2008 to promote scooter riding as the best way to combat the ridiculous price of fuel. Scootering is an inexpensive fun filled way to enjoy New England from the cockpit of your favorite scoot. The Sun and Fun Scooter Club does not discriminate against scooter manufacturers… We love all scooters ! So, whether you have a classic Vespa or Lambretta, a twist 'n go Yamaha, Kymco or Genuine, you can rest assured you’re welcome to join our club. Scooterists of all facets, shapes, sizes, sex, and colors are welcome to join us on our meet-ups which will surely give way to interesting conversation.. Scootering is a safe hobby if you use the proper protective gear and practice safe scooter etiquette. You are much more likely to be seen in traffic when traveling in a group. Actually, scootering is a great anti-stress therapy.

Beginning Friday May 23rd 2008 at 6:30 PM, we will be meeting weekly at the "new and improved" Victoria Station Cafe in beautiful Downtown Putnam, CT (Now with outdoor patio seating). Please watch the calendar for upcoming events. You can find the calendar by clicking the "EVENTS" button below.

In addition to the weekly meet-ups, we will be planning some action packed rides that will bring us to destinations unknown.

There is absolutely no fee to join the Sun And Fun Scooter Club, and it is not an organized group with officers and bylaws. We feel that scootering should be fun without all the politics. All you need to do is show up at either a weekly meet-up or at one of our rides to enjoy the company of others that share your passion. We're hoping to attract avid scooter lovers from Northeastern Connecticut (The Quiet Corner), Rhode Island, and Central Massachusetts.

The only thing that we ask is that you simply adhere to the following rules, should choose to join the Sun And Fun Scooter Club on a group ride.

You'll be expected to:
· Have a registered, insured and roadworthy machine. (at least 125cc for distance rides)
· Know that you participate entirely at your own risk and the organizers and/or the Sun And Fun Scooter Club is in no way responsible for participant’s safety.
· All participants/riders are aware that they are traveling on open public roads and are responsible for their own safety and compliance with all road rules and laws. Riders will also be expected to ride in a staggered formation to assure the safety of themselves and others.
· Conduct that causes nuisance, damage to, theft of, the property or persons of third-parties is absolutely prohibited.

The SAFSC retains the sole right to censure and, if considered warranted, to ban or expel a rider who flouts the rules as described.

We always have fun wherever we go, but safety must be paramount ! What are you waiting for ? Don’t let the cost of fuel put a damper on your plans for the upcoming warmer weather.
